Writing in foreign language is more tricky than reading. So many people wanna know how-to improve their writing skills.

The following is what my friend who studied abroad adviced for me.

1. Read texts of as same type as you need write again and again.
i.e., if you need an academic paper, you should read many papers about themes you research. if you wanna write essay, read many well-witten essays.

2. Use the words, expressions or syntax in texts you read.
You will get many word, expressions, syntax or formats by reading many. Then use them! These parts of text are useful for you because they are found in the texts of type you need write.

Remember how you learn your mothertongue in childhood. did you consult a dictionary, text for syntax or lists of usefl expressions? You maybe not. You might read a few favorite picturebooks or watch a few favorite anime videos again and again, right? Go the same way to get foreign language skills and you will be good writer in the foreign language.
